Tokyo Comedy Bar is building an improv team!

In the weekly drop-in level 2 workshop, improvisers will work on scenes and games that one would typically see in onstage improv performances. Led by experienced improviser Jon Sabay (of Tokyo Comedy Bar’s D&D show Roles for Initiative and the two-person longform improv show Bob and Jon Make a Movie), each week we’ll work on building characters and worlds, the finding of patterns to play with, and the honing of skills that can make performances seamless.

The improv fundamentals of being attentive, accepting, and collaborative will form the base of the work that is done in this workshop. Attendees of this workshop may be eligible to perform for TCB’s improv shows if they so choose.

The workshop starts at 12:30PM every Saturday, and runs for 90 minutes. Level 2 attendees will be expected to have some amount of improv experience. Those who have taken several Level 1 workshops may be eligible for attendance after an assessment by the instructor.
