The King of Kanto Comedy Competition will take place in September at the Baird Tokyo International Comedy Festival to determine who is the funniest English language comedian in the Kanto Region. Previous winners Yurié Collins and Evans Musoka will help judge the English competition along with Baird Brewing’s John Chesen and a mix of established Tokyo based and visiting comedians.

There will be two Semi Final Rounds of rounds of 10 comics. 4 comedians from each night will be selected to advance to the finals. The winner of the Tokyo Comp will be crowned the Comedy King or Queen of Kanto.

The Grand Final will take place at Tokyo Comedy Bar and will close the Festival.
